Lifeguard Responsibilities

•Always have the proper attire and wear it in a neat manner.
•Perform general care and maintenance of pool equipment.
•NEVER leave the pool unattended unless there is another lifeguard on duty.
•Maintain a clean and safe pool area, deck, and support facilities.
•Perform pH and Chlorine tests every two hours to insure proper water balance.
•Be responsible! If a scheduling problem occurs, notify management immediately.
•Bring your certifications to the pool every day.
•Do not allow anyone in the pool without taking a shower.
•Fill out the daily log daily and note any incidents, accidents or rule infractions.
•Open and close the pool on time. Fill out your check out closing lists.
•Your #1 responsibility is the safety of all pool patrons.
•Immediately notify your supervisor if the chlorine levels spike up or down.
